Most of you will come to know me as a huge Puroresu Mark over the course of however long we manage to stick around this place. Been one since I discovered Hayabusa in the mid-90s. Anyways, my taste in Wrestling has changed quite a bit over the years but New Japan Pro Wrestling has been putting out some really top notch stuff as of late. Famous Japanese Tag Team, Jado & Gedo who appeared for ECW back in the 90s have taken over the job booking NJPW. Both were and are HUGE American Wrestling fans (thus why they went to ECW), so NJPW kinda has an American feel to it's product, with just amazing Japanese quality matches.
Right now, NJPW is going through a huge up-swing period and they recently held a Pay-Per-View from the Tokyo Dome, in Tokyo Japan which was aired on every major Cable Provider in the world. Thus marking the first time that NJPW was shown live in the United States. For the show, NJPW used American Commentary in the form of Good Ol' JR, Jim Ross and Matt Stryker.
Did anyone watch this show?
I did. It was absolutely fantastic with something for every single type of wrestling fan (except Deathmatch guys, I guess). Honestly such a fantastic show. Kota Iibushi was incredible. The opening Tag Team Scramble was on par or better than any fast paced Junior Heavyweight Match from America this year. I could go on forever about how great this show was, top to bottom.
But, again I'll throw this to you guys. Did anyone else watch this show?
